This Website was created as a platform to present our findings from the data collected from Dacie Moses, the cookie house at Carleton College.
We collected data from the years 2015 through 2019 and from that, have developed radial and stacked charts to demonstrate trends in event and brunch attendance for each Dacie Moses year.* Using Timeline JS we included a timeline of major events concerning Dacie Moses and her house. We found the timeline to fit in well with our goals of exploring a variety of platforms for exhibiting sets of data and information. It also made sense for us considering the importance of the history of the house and our mission of focusing on user interactivity.
The information used was generously provided by the current house supervisor, Julia Uleberg. We would also like to thank Tom Weaver for sharing valuable information about Dacie’s as well as photos and information from his blog.
The purpose of this website is to provide insight to the information gathered, to inform the readers about the history of this space, and to collect stories in a symbol of maintaining the Dacie spirit of generosity and keeping those memories alive.
